Mommy Chic: Striping Together & Giveaway Announcement!

 I hope you are enjoying reading these mommy chic posts as much as I enjoy writing them. My son is my entire life and it is only fair that he is part of my blog as well. Here we are off to family event. I wanted to be super comfortable but still summer chic, so I wore this maxi skirt I purchased at Marshall's a couple of weeks ago... and since I was going with my hubby I wore my heels! Super comfy ones but still. Ben wore the most adorable bermuda style shorts that my mom bought for him. He was a little crancky, hence his serious face, because I woke him up from his nap!

Mi hijo es mi todo por eso decidi ponerlo aqui una vez a la semana ya que el es obviamente parte de mi dia a dia. Aqui estabamos en camino a un evento familiar. Ben recien se habia levanta por eso estaba un poco serio. Quize ponerme algo comodo pero chic por eso decidi ponerme esta falda maxi pero con mis sandalias de tacos ya que fui con mi esposo y el me ayudo a correr detras de Ben. Ben se puso unos short estilo bermuda que mi mami le compro.

Even though I am not very tall at all! I am 5'1'' I love to wear maxi dresses and skirts, I think that if you wear them with wedges or heels they look just fab on everyone. And I love the bit of bohemian chic vibe that they give out. I styled this fab little skirt with black to give a contrast. I wore one of my favorite cross body bags from Olivia + Joy, they have some pretty fab handbags, that I just love! This bag is such a classic, it can go with everything. Every woman needs one in her closet!

Aunque soy un poco chiquita de estatura me encanta ponerme faldas y vestidos maxi, me parece que dan un look chic y bohemio que me encanta. Combine este look con colores negros para un contraste. Y me puse esta cartera que me encanta es super clasica y todas deberian tener un asi en su closet, es de Olivia + Joy, me encanta sus carteras.

Life's a Beach

 Living in NJ I like to take advantage of summer and every chance I get I head down to the beach. We left super early and headed to one of my favorite beaches with my hubby. It was great going just the 2 of us, I always make it a point to have just me + him time. We started celebrating my birthday early... And this day was exactly what I needed.

Viviendo en NJ cuando llega el verano, me encanta aprovechar de cada momento que puedo irme a la playa. Y eso fue exactamente lo que hize. Aprovechamos y tuvimos un dia en la playa los dos solo, mi esposo y yo, empezamos a celebrar mi cumpleanos. Y fue exactamente lo que yo necesitaba.

I wore this little dress as a beach cover up but it really is a dress to wear out. I bought this dress years ago for a trip to Greece with my husband. Back then I was much skinnier and it fit like a glove.. I always loved this dress so I never wanted to get rid of it. I kept it in my closet and have worn it now 3 different ways. Just goes to shoe you how you can 'recycle' your clothes!

Este vestido que me puse en realidad no es de playa, es un vestido de salir. Lo compre hace mucho tiempo para un viaje que hize a Grecia con mi esposo. Yo era mucho mas flaca en el 2010 y me quedaba como anillo al dedo. Siempre me encanto este vestido por eso nunca lo regale. Sigue en mi closet y me lo he puesto de 3 maneras diferentes. Para que vean que se puede reciclar hasta la ropa!

Here I am in Greece in 2010 and I wore it again in 2011 as a top while I was 7 1/2 months pregnant... I love the print. So the morning we were getting ready for the beach I decided to wear it once again, this time, as a cover up! And I still love it as much as I did 3 years ago.

Aqui estoy en Grecia en el 2010 y de ahi en el 2011 con 7 meses y medio de embarazo. Me encanta el estampado del vestido. La manana de el viaje a la playa decidi ponermelo de nuevo esta vez como cover up. Y me encanta hoy tanto como hace 3 anios.

And as always protect your skin! Not just when you are at the beach or the pool... And not just on your body ...Don't forget to wear your facial SPF daily! I wear mine every morning in my moisturizer. And I wear a hat every single time I go to the beach. It is so important to protect our skin ladies! My body and face never match lol - my face is always much lighter so I wear bronzer every time I put my makeup on. You can see a little bit of that in this photo.

Como siempre, no se olviden de protejer su piel. No solo cuando van a la playa o piscina. Y no solo su cuerpo, tambien protejan su cara a diario. Yo use mi SPF en mi suavizador facial todos los dias, hasta en invierno. Es muy importante protejernos la piel. Mi cuerpo y cara nunca combinan por eso cada vez que me maquillo me pongo bronceador.

Mommy Chic: Hair up, Heels on!

 Summer is all about bbq's, parties, events, beach days, ice cream and most importantly family! I've had a handful of projects that I have been working on daily but my most important "event" right now is my son's 2nd birthday party coming this summer. I am so excited to put it all together, I can't wait! We had an afternoon full of things to do and finally booked my son's birthday party place - I decided to wear my comfortable Zara pants and my all time fave heels this weekend for a day full of errands.

El verano se trata de bbq's, fiestas, eventos, la playa, helados y hamburguesas pero mas important de la familia! Tengo unos cuantos porjectos en cuales estoy trabajando pero el mas importante horita para mi es el segundo cumpleanos de mi hijo. Este fin de semana tuvimos muchos cosas que hacer pero en especial por fin separamos el lugar de la fiesta de mi bebe. Va a quedar super linda.

I've got sunshine...

Lately it feels more like April than June ... I love the rain but I think we need a break from it now. I love wearing bright colors and happy prints on rainy days, it makes me happy and sort of puts a little sunshine in my day. I wore this casual outfit to dinner and drinks with my cousins. Every girl needs those night every now and then...

Ultimamente se siente mas como Abril que Junio pero ahi que aprender a bailar en la lluvia. Stripe this, stripe that!

I've had this top for a while now and was waiting on the right piece to wear it with. I had a fashion show (A Night in Rio) to attend here in New Jersey last week and  since the days here have been cloudy and rainy on I thought this top was just right to wear with these tuxedo pants that I love. It was a chilly evening...

This past Wednesday was my husband's and I's 4th wedding anniversary. It has been truly an amazing 4 years and I couldn't have married a more perfect man for me. We just got back from vacation so we decided to keep it low key with simple dinner at one of out favorite places. I wore this cute white dress I got months ago at Forever 21 for $13.

El miercoles pasado fue mi aniversario de bodas numero 4! Han sido cuatro anios llenos de felicidad y sorpresas. El en realidad es MI hombre perfecto. Mommy Chic: The Baby Loafers

As a fashionista I love dressing up but I also enjoy putting outfits together for my handsome and sweet son! We went out to dinner on Friday night and here is what we wore!

Como toda una fashionista me encanta vestirme y ponerme tacos pero tambien disfruto vestir a mi hermoso hijo. Miren los que nos pusimos para salir a cenar el dia Viernes.

It is always a hectic 5 minutes when we try to take pics with Ben, as any toddler he just wants to run wild when we are outside! This is the best we got and I think he just looks adorable!

Como cualquier nino de su edad Ben solo quiere salir corriendo en cada oportunidad. Tomarnos foto es muy interesante al decir menos, jajaja. Son unos 5 minutos de locura pero igual el se ve precioso!
